Funding is now available for Derby & Derbyshire based businesses (including sole traders) for capital and revenue projects to help with growth, relocating and job creation.This includes Research and Development (R&D) projects but note this may affect eligibility for R&D tax relief claims and we suggest you discuss this with a member of our Radius Team who specialise in this area.
The grants can be applied for by registering an “expression of interest”, details of which are contained on the link below.
Derbyshire Business Support Grant Scheme (DBSGS) - Funding towards Capital or Revenue projects to support increased investment, growth, job creation and diversification into new markets. Eligible activity will include improved productivity, technology, systems, supply chain and skills development.
Minimum grant £2k, maximum £50k with up to 50% of total eligible project costs supported. Grants are available to sole traders, partnerships, limited companies (micro and SME businesses and start-ups) as well as Social Enterprises (where sustainable future income is proven) who are liable or will be liable to pay business rates as part of the grant funded project.
Scheme attributes
- The minimum grant size is £2k and the maximum is £50k.
- Available to sole-traders, partnerships, limited companies (micro and SME businesses and start-ups) and social enterprises (where sustainable future income is proven) who are liable or will be liable to pay business rates as part of the grant funded project.
- Available to all sectors subject to State aid rules and investment panel discretion.
- State aid rules to include capital expenditure, relocation, fit out costs, R&D, consultancy costs, training, working capital, rental, staffing costs (exclusions subject to officer and panel discretion).
- The funding is due to run until the 31st March 2020
