Sheffield-based specialists in Industrial Cleaning, IRATA Rope Access Grit Blasting, and Confined Space Entry & Rescue, LRES-UK, is proud to announce the successful completion of a Management Buy-Out (MBO) from its founders.
Established in 2012, the company has grown to become a leading provider of industrial cleaning and site support services, and this milestone marks a new chapter in its continued evolution and commitment to excellence.
The buy-out, led by Thomas Rowland (Managing Director), Lynsey Waller (Sales Director) and Patsy Wilson (Financial Director), transfers ownership from co-founders, Lee Reynolds and David Reynolds to the existing leadership team. This strategic move reflects the management’s deep commitment to the long-term growth and success of LRES-UK, and positions the company for continued innovation, agility, and customer-focused service delivery.
Under its new ownership structure, LRES-UK will continue to operate under the same name and maintain its commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation. Clients and partners can expect seamless continuity in service, with renewed energy and focus from a leadership team that is now fully invested in the company’s future.
The MBO was supported by Lloyds, who provided increased facilities to fund future growth, with the Management Team being advised by Shorts (Andy Ryder and Connor Marshall) and Knights (Paul Trudgill and Peter Turk) and the Sellers being advised by Wake Smith Solicitors (Rebecca Robinson).
On behalf of the Management team, Tom Rowland said:
“This is a defining moment for LRES-UK and a proud milestone for everyone involved in our journey. The successful completion of this Management Buy-Out represents far more than a change in ownership. It is a bold vote of confidence in our people, our clients, and the future we are building together.”
“Since its founding in 2012, LRES-UK has grown into one of the UK’s leading specialists in industrial cleaning, rope access, and confined space safety – serving some of the most critical infrastructure sites in the country. That success has always been underpinned by a culture of hard work, innovation, and doing things the right way – values instilled by our founders, Lee and Dave Reynolds, to whom we owe a great deal. Their trust and support throughout this transition have been instrumental, and we thank them sincerely.”
“As the new leadership team – myself, Lynsey Waller, and Patsy Wilson – we are honoured to take the business forward. We are not outsiders stepping in; we are the people who have lived and breathed the work, the challenges, and the growth of LRES-UK. This MBO gives us the opportunity to fully invest – not just financially, but emotionally and strategically – in a company we care deeply about.”
“I would also like to personally thank Shorts, in particular Andy Ryder and Connor Marshall, whose guidance, pragmatism, and commercial understanding were second to none. Navigating an MBO is never straightforward, but Andy, Connor’s and the Shorts team brought both clarity and confidence at every stage.”
“Similarly, Knights, with Paul Trudgill and Peter Turk, were exceptional legal partners throughout. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and ability to keep momentum were critical to the successful outcome.”
“A sincere thank you also goes to Wake Smith Solicitors, especially Rebecca Robinson, who acted for the sellers. Their collaborative and constructive approach helped ensure a smooth and respectful transaction, and their professionalism was greatly appreciated by all parties involved.”
“With the backing of Lloyds and the support of our people, we now move into a new chapter – one defined by agility, innovation, and a continued commitment to excellence. Our ambition is to not only grow, but to help shape best practice in the industries we serve – particularly in confined space safety, digital monitoring, and high-risk industrial environments.”
“We’re excited, we’re ready, and above all – we’re committed. Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this journey. The best of LRES-UK is yet to come.”
