Shorts staff and partners have once again donned Christmas jumpers, this year raising a total of £205.50 in support of Ashgate Hospicecare

On Wednesday 18th December, staff members in both of our offices wore their Christmas jumpers; taking part in one of our annual charity fundraising days.

Ashgate Hospicecare's website states that "Each donation will help care for patients and keep families together this Christmas."

Ashgate Hospicecare was built over 30 years ago and they want to make sure that it continues to be here for the next 30 years. For many people who need round-the-clock care on their Inpatient Unit,  they were no longer able to offer them the privacy and dignity that they deserved and that we would all want for ourselves or for someone we love. Which is why Ashgate Hospicecare made the decision to renovate their outdated three-bedded bays into nine individual, modern and homely bedrooms. The cost of this transformation is over £1.2 million and so far, they have currently secured in the region of £730,000.  Ashgate are now turning to the community to ask for support of their Bedroom Appeal and help them to raise the additional £470,000 needed to open these beautiful bedrooms and to help families stay together when it matters most.

We were delighted to have helped them towards this goal this year.
