Who doesn't love a team competition?
So when we decided to hold our first ever pumpkin carving competition last month, offering the chance to win a hamper full of goodies, the Shorts team got creative.
We asked our team to send in their pictures of home-carved pumpkins - many of them getting their children involved in the designs. The entries were fantastic - who knew that we had many talented pumpkin artists working amongst us?
A few of our spooky pumpkin entries were:
Korresia MacGregor
Her scary spider design.
Laura Burnell
Her two-faced venom-inspired pumpkin.
Katie Anthony
Her spooky Frankenstein's face pumpkin.
Linzi Riley
Her two creepy smiling pumpkin faces.
Jo Grant
The carved haunted house.
Jodie Hart
The spider with many eyes and long, creepy legs.
Her other pumpkin is a carriage with satsuma wheels.
WINNER: Beki Pearson
Her amazing grim reaper design with pumpkin decorations.
After careful deliberation, our independent judge (Chris Chambers) decided upon our winner - Beki Pearson, with her Grim Reaper design. Congratulations Beki, we hope that you enjoy your prize.
Beki was presented with an Autumn Hamper packed full of autumn goodies - including:
- An Autumn Leaves and Pumpkin Etched Glass Mug
- Soy Wax Candle
- Autumnal Themed Bookmark
- Scandi Socks
- Hand-painted Hello Autumn Wooden Coaster
- Handmade Crochet Pumpkin
- Twinings Teabag
- Nescafe Coffee sachet
- Hot Chocolate Sachet
- Handmade Vanilla Solid Lotion Bar
A big thank you to the team for getting involved and sending in their Halloween entries - we hope that they'll all be getting into the spirit of it (see what we did there) again next year!
