Shorts is delighted to announce that we have signed the Menopause Workplace Pledge.
This means that, as an employer, we are committed to:
- recognising that the menopause can be an issue in the workplace, and that women may need support with it;
- talking openly, positively and respectfully about the menopause;
- actively supporting and informing all of our team members affected by the menopause.
What is the Menopause Workplace Pledge?
Wellbeing of Women, in partnership with Hello! magazine, introduced the Menopause Workplace Pledge to encourage employers to take positive action in ensuring everyone going through menopause is supported.
Almost 900,000 women in the UK have quit their jobs due to the menopause, but the Menopause Workplace Pledge aims to help people feel more supported at work, improve their happiness and wellbeing and reduce retirement costs.
You can learn more about the Menopause Workplace Pledge on the Wellbeing of Women website.
How to get involved
Shorts is proud to join organisations like TSB, ASOS, the John Lewis Partnership, BT, the BMW Group, and Santander UK in signing the pledge.
Both employers and employees can sign the Workplace Menopause Pledge to show their support, and we encourage our clients and friends to learn more about it today.
