This afternoon, the Shorts team of 15 partners and staff set off in preparation for the 170 miles Way of the Roses cycle challenge which is due to commence tomorrow morning.
Transportation for all of the team, equipment and their bikes to the starting point in Morecambe and then home again from Bridlington on Sunday evening, is provided with the extreme generosity of Andrew's of Tideswell; we extend a massive thank you to them, for all their help.
As they boarded the coach to set off, Paul Beeson Senior partner commented “We are all looking forward to the next few days. We know it will be tough, but there is real determination in the team to complete this challenge. I am sure that one way or another we will encourage each other to complete the distance.”
“We are absolutely delighted to have exceeded our initial target to raise £5,000 for Lymphoma Research and thank everyone who has made a donation and passed on messages of support. There is a little rain forecast for the weekend, but hopefully the weather will be kind to us and we are all looking forward to Fish and Chips in Bridlington on Sunday evening”
We will be tracking the team’s progress over the weekend on Facebook while they are away, and images of the event can be seen by visiting our Facebook page.
There is still time for anyone to make a donation by visiting our Just Giving page and we thank everyone who has been able to make a donation.
