Xero is constantly evolving, and recent releases covering stock and payroll now make it more attractive than ever as a full accounting package.

The payroll system is ideally suited for companies with up to 20 employees.  It is however, also suitable for those employing more but has been specifically designed with this number in mind.

All employee details are entered into the system, when the payroll can be run and the RTI filings automatically updated.  The payroll figures then pass seamlessly into the profit and loss account and balance sheet.  As an added bonus there is an employee app which employees can use to view their pay history, download payslips and request time off.

The Inventory system within Xero has been designed to allow users to easily track the quantity and value of stock items held.  This is ideal for businesses that sell finished products.  It enables a quick check of stock on hand when raising sales invoices.  This reporting will give improved visibility for small businesses so they can effectively manage the stock on hand.
