For most people weekends revolve around relaxation, food and rest. However for 8 Shorts' team members their weekend was spent cycling, swimming and running for charity.
IT members Jack Christian and Dan Neal completed the Tough Mudder; wading through a 10-12 mile mud filled obstacle course. Their brilliant efforts resulted in them raising an amazing £909 for the epilepsy society under the team name "Nerds vs Mud". The Epilepsy Society work to enhance the quality of life of people affected by epilepsy by promoting public awareness and education, by undertaking research and by delivering specialist medical care and support. The Epilepsy Society is a cause close to both Jack and Dan, the pair were extremely pleased with the final charitable donation having raised over £400 more than their original target.

Shorts' were proud to also have 6 individuals competing in the Endeavour Triathlon; Simon Hollin, Howard Freeman, Alex Neller, Martin Dean, Eleanor Snaith and Sam Newton. Forming two teams of three they completed one leg of the event each, a 750m swim, a 25km cycle and a gruelling 10km run. The teams raised a brilliant £435 for Endeavour, a charity who work to challenge, inspire and motivate some of England's most disadvantaged young people.
The exhausting weekend saw the Sporty Shorts' members raising a total of £1300 for the two charities. Shorts' look forward to completing more charitable events in the future.
