The second in a series of presentations to be held in our new Sheffield office will make Manufacturing and Engineering businesses aware of various ways in which they can get or keep cash in their businesses and also how to protect and bolster the value of their business.

Areas covered will include claiming government backed tax reliefs to generate tax savings and repayments, how to apply for government and other grants, access to bank finance and how to obtain a patent and exploit your intellectual property rights.

  • Tax partner Scott Burkinshaw will explain how claiming Research and Development tax reliefs can save you cash, and give an overview of patent box tax relief.
  • John Harrison, a manufacturing expert from Lloyds Banking will explain how to raise cash to support your business, and their specific appetite to support the Manufacturing sector.
  • Rosie Hardy, Senior Patent Attorney at Withers & Rogers will explain why you should bother with intellectual property,  the pros & cons of holding patents and the costs and time taken to obtain a patent.
  • Joanne Flanagan, a grant specialist at Lambert & Flanagan will discuss the grants currently available to manufacturing and engineering businesses.
