Shorts have won Xero's 'behind your business' competition alongside one of our clients Moss Valley Fine Meats.
The competition offered the opportunity for businesses to be featured in Xero's next advertising campaign which will celebrate small businesses and their advisers. Hundreds entered the competition, describing the relationship between the accountant and the small business that they advise. Shorts entered the competition alongside our long standing client Moss Valley Fine Meats.
Moss Valley Fine Meats are a local award winning butchery on the outskirts of Sheffield; they are an on-farm butchery with specially selected breeds of pigs. Customers visiting know exactly where their food comes from as they provide a real farm to fork experience. After years supplying Shorts with their accounting records inside a brown leather suitcase, they made the decision to move onto the cloud, choosing Xero. The change was a positive move, and they felt that moving to Xero was "the best back-office decision they've made". As a business they are now finding it much simpler to see how they are doing and are much more self-sufficient.
Shorts were early adopters of Xero, recognising the added value for clients. Xero allows businesses to send invoices, receive payment, track expenses and manage their finances in real-time and on the go. It also helps businesses to work more closely with their accountants who can also access the financial information online to give real-time help and advice. Back in 2017 Shorts became the region's first Xero Platinum Partner demonstrating the continued commitment to helping the region's small businesses thrive using Xero's online accounting software system.
