Chris Heaton has been confirmed as the second key speaker for this year’s annual Manufacturing breakfast Seminar hosted by Shorts Chartered Accountants, NatWest and Banner Jones Solicitors at the Proact Stadium in Chesterfield on Thursday 13 November 2014.

Chris has worked in the professional services and manufacturing sectors at board level in Sheffield, Leeds and London.  Chairman of Sheffield Assay Office since 2012 and interim Group Managing Director of OSL Group Limited, Chris is also a previous President of the Sheffield & District Society of Chartered Accountants and has served on the national Institute’s Council.

Chris is also well known for his charitable work, and has raised in excess of £70k for Brathay Trust completing endurance challenges: recently completing 30 marathons in 30 days.   Chris joins David Grey MBE as the two key speakers announced to date.  Further announcements are expected in due course.

This year’s event is being held as part of Destination Chesterfield’s Made in Chesterfield week, and brings together key speakers from the heart of local business, putting emphasis on the future of manufacturing within the region.  Individuals representing manufacturing and engineering industries are invited to register their place by emailing bookings@shorts.uk.com.   Places are offered free of charge, but space is limited and early booking is recommended for this event.
