Shorts are this month delighted to announce the appointment of David Robinson as the most recent member of their rapidly expanding Tax advisory department. David, who joins as Senior Tax Manager, is a Chartered Tax Adviser and Chartered Accountant specialising in business taxation. Joining from BDO LLP, he has over 7 years’ experience working for national accountancy firms.
Welcoming David, Tax Partner Scott Burkinshaw commented “We have had to continually strengthen our team of tax advisers in both Sheffield and Chesterfield to look after our growing client base and also to fuel the firm’s continuing growth. David will also form part of our recently launched Innovation Taxes Group, established to ensure that local businesses claim their full entitlement to Government backed tax reliefs such as R&D and Patent Box tax reliefs.
The recruitment of David Robinson follows the recent appointment of R&D tax reliefs specialist, Tom Whitworth, to the Group, increasing our capacity to develop further our expertise in this area. We have been extremely fortunate to continue to attract such high calibre recruits and are confident that we have now built an excellent team who will no doubt play a pivotal part in the firm’s continued growth.”
David added “I am thrilled to be joining Shorts and look forward to supporting the continuing growth of the firm. Shorts is a highly regarded independent practice who are clearly focused on meeting all aspects of their clients’ needs and I am looking forward to being instrumental in future development.”
