We’re delighted to share that Shorts has been shortlisted in four categories at the 2026 Insider Dealmakers Awards, following the recent announcement of this year’s finalists.
The shortlist recognises both the outstanding work delivered on behalf of our clients over the past year and our Corporate Finance team as a whole. The management buyout of Home Decor has been shortlisted in the Deal of the Year (sub £10m) category. The transaction highlights the importance of clear strategic advice and close collaboration throughout the deal process, supporting management through a key transition for the business.
Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year
Being shortlisted for Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year is recognition of the collective effort, expertise and commitment of the Shorts Corporate Finance team. Over the past year, the team has continued to work closely with owner-managed businesses, investors and management teams, delivering tailored advice across a range of transactions and sectors.
Dealmaker of the Year – Andy Ryder
We’re also pleased to see Andy Ryder shortlisted for Dealmaker of the Year. Andy’s nomination reflects his experience, leadership and consistent focus on achieving the right outcomes for clients, as well as his role in mentoring and supporting people across the wider team.
National/International Deal of the Year
The acquisition of Humphrey Holdings by CCL Industries has been shortlisted in the National/International Deal of the Year category. The transaction demonstrates the team’s capability to advise on complex cross-border deals involving international buyers.
