Shorts is officially a Great Place to Work and we couldn’t be prouder

We are thrilled to share that Shorts has officially been certified as a Great Place to Work® for the very first time. This is a huge moment for us as a firm, and one we are incredibly proud to celebrate. But what makes it even more special is that this recognition is based entirely on feedback from our own people - the people who make Shorts what it is every single day. And the results speak for themselves.

91% say
Shorts is a great place to work*
compared to
54% of employees at
a typical
UK based company

That is something truly worth celebrating. For us, this is far more than a badge or a certificate. It is a reflection of the culture we have built together: a culture shaped by trust, care, teamwork, pride and a genuine commitment to helping people feel supported and able to do their best work.

Built on listening

Listening to our people has always been part of how we do things at Shorts.

We want people to feel able to share their views, contribute ideas and be part of shaping the firm’s future. Taking part in Great Place to Work® gave us an independent way to hear that feedback and understand how our culture is being experienced across the firm.

The results give us a moment to celebrate, but more importantly, they give us a clear sense of what our people value about working here.

A proud milestone for Shorts

Great Place to Work® is an independent and widely recognised workplace certification. To achieve certification is a fantastic milestone. It tells us that the culture we have worked so hard to build is not only visible, but genuinely being felt by the people who experience it every day.

Some of the feedback was especially powerful:

99% of our people say people at Shorts are treated fairly regardless of their race.
96% say management is competent at running the business.
98% say this is a physically safe place to work.

These results mean a great deal to us. They reflect the care, consistency and commitment shown across Shorts — from our leadership team to every colleague who contributes to making the firm welcoming, supportive and positive.

Why this matters to our clients

A great workplace culture does not stop at our office doors. It directly shapes the experience our clients have with us too.

When our people feel trusted, valued and supported, they are able to bring their best to the work they do. They build stronger relationships, give thoughtful advice and provide the personal, consistent service that our clients know and expect from Shorts.

It also helps us attract and retain talented people, invest in their development and build long-term stability within our teams. That means our clients are supported by people who know them, understand their businesses and care about helping them succeed.

For us, this certification reflects not only the experience of our people, but also the quality, commitment and continuity our clients benefit from every day.

Looking ahead with pride

We are absolutely delighted to celebrate this achievement, but we also see it as part of a bigger story.

As Shorts continues to grow, we will stay focused on what makes the biggest difference: supporting our people, developing talent, strengthening relationships and creating an environment where people can do brilliant work.

Because when our people feel proud to be part of Shorts, that pride carries through into everything we do — for our colleagues, our clients and the wider communities we support.

A huge thank you

To every member of the Shorts team who took part in the survey, shared their views and helps make Shorts such a positive place to work — thank you.

This recognition belongs to all of us. It is a brilliant milestone, a proud moment for the firm and a wonderful reflection of the people who make Shorts what it is. If you’d like to find out more about building your future at Shorts, we’d love to hear from you.
