Each year the hospice invites fundraisers to 'light up the night for Ashgate Hospice' in their ic 10k Sparkle Night Walk, which raises money for families right across North Derbyshire. Setting off from Chesterfield FC's Technique stadium at 10 pm, the streets of Chesterfield are gradually taken over by a sea of pink, as walkers decorated from head to toe, sparkle and shine their way around the 10k route, before eventually finishing back at the football ground. With entertainment dotted along at various points, and well-wishers supporting along the entire route, our team of eleven had a great evening, and are already planning to take part again next year. A big thank you goes out to all the organisers and volunteers who made the event such an enjoyable one to take part in (and it was great to spot our very own [Malcolm Pope](https://www.shorts.uk.com/team/malcolm-pope/) in his annual marshaling role). Our [JustGiving page](https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/shorts-chartered-accountants3) currently remains open for donations.  ![WhatsApp Image 2023-07-02 at 09-10-25](https://blog.shorts.uk.com/hs-fs/hubfs/WhatsApp%20Image%202023-07-02%20at%2009-10-25.jpeg?width=250&height=313&name=WhatsApp%20Image%202023-07-02%20at%2009-10-25.jpeg) Shown above are Alicia Williams and Kirstie Wilson.   ![WhatsApp Image 2023-07-02 at 09-10-24](https://blog.shorts.uk.com/hs-fs/hubfs/WhatsApp%20Image%202023-07-02%20at%2009-10-24.jpeg?width=600&height=314&name=WhatsApp%20Image%202023-07-02%20at%2009-10-24.jpeg) (pictured L-R Back row: Jodie Hart, Julia Nikulina, Alicia Williams, Kirstie Wilson, Sam Hay, Margaret Hall, Sue Saxon.  Front row: June Freeman, Jo Grant, Brian Gooch, and Helen Shepherd)     ![author](https://blog.shorts.uk.com/hubfs/1678438830033-1.jpg) #### Jo Grant Jo is the Senior Marketing Manager at Shorts Chartered Accountants.
