Every year, the team at Shorts proudly supports Mission Christmas, an incredible initiative led by Cash for Kids. This campaign exists for one simple reason: to ensure that no child wakes up without a gift from Santa on Christmas morning.
Across the UK, millions of families face heart-breaking choices, often between heating their homes or putting food on the table. For many children, this means that Christmas becomes just another day. No sparkle, no magic, and no visit from Santa. This is where Mission Christmas steps in - looking to change that narrative, providing gifts for children who might otherwise go without and offering hope to families struggling with poverty, illness, neglect, or additional needs.
For this initiative, every donation counts. Funds go directly toward buying gifts for children who need them most. If all gift applications are fulfilled, any remaining funds help provide grants for disadvantaged children in the coming year.
Our Contribution
The Shorts team came together once again, donating a fantastic range of gifts for children aged 0 to 18. From games, hot water bottles, colouring books, and tech gadgets to baby toys, make-up, hair and beauty products, and trendy clothing for teens, we aimed to bring joy to every age group.
After collecting these wonderful items, we delivered them to Mission Christmas HQ - Santa’s Workshop! Here, the gifts will be sorted into appropriate age categories, before being lovingly wrapped and distributed across our community, ensuring they reach children in time for the big day.

Why It Matters
Statistics suggest that almost 1 in 3 children (around 4.5 million) are living in poverty in the UK. For these families, Christmas can feel an impossible struggle. Mission Christmas is committed to making sure every child experiences the magic of the season, no matter their circumstances and we are proud to continue supporting them. A massive thank you to all of our team who helped up to donate this year.
