Once again, we are delighted to be headline sponsors of the Ashgate Hospice annual Charity Golf day.
For this hugely successful, annual fundraiser, enthusiastic golfers, competitive players, teams participating in memory of loved ones, and those simply playing for enjoyment, gather at Chesterfield Golf Club to raise essential funds for palliative and end-of-life care in North Derbyshire.
This year's event takes place on Friday 18th July, and we are all hoping that the weather will be just as glorious as last year, which enjoyed a day of full sunshine and fine weather.
With a full schedule, teams will tee off throughout the day with staggered start times from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, following a welcoming bacon roll and hot drink upon arrival.
For those wishing to refine their swing before taking to the course, the Trackman Golf Swing Studio will once again be available, and as always, there will be a variety of competitions dotted around the course to take part in.
Participants will also enjoy a two-course meal after their round of golf in the Clubhouse, with opportunities to bid on various items in the auction and partake in the early evening prize-giving ceremony.
Anna Jinks, Partnership Development Office at Ashgate commented
"We’re absolutely thrilled to have SHORTS back on board as Main Sponsor for our 34th Annual Golf Day.
Their ongoing support means so much to us—whether it’s through taking part in our Sparkle Night Walk, hosting in-house fundraisers, or supporting events like this, SHORTS always go above and beyond for Ashgate. Last year marked our first official golf day partnership with them, and it turned out to be our most successful yet.
With the rising cost of living and increased national insurance contributions, the hospice is facing a potential £750,000 deficit this year. Support from local businesses like SHORTS is vital, and helps ensure we can continue being there for the people of North Derbyshire when they need us most. We’re so grateful for their partnership."
Once again there has been high demand to reserve places, leaving only limited spaces available, so if you would like more details on how to enter your team to play this year, then please contact Anna Jinks and register your team here.
