On Wednesday the 9th of May Shorts' were delighted to welcome a handsome furry guest into the Chesterfield office. Marley's arrival came following Shorts' decision to sponsor Support Dog Diva.
As well as providing some doggy de-stress time Marley the labrador educated our team on the invaluable work done by Support Dogs. Support Dogs provide and train assistance dogs to help improve the quality of life for children and adults who suffer from autism, epilepsy and physical disability.
Shorts' currently sponsor the talented disability assistance dog Diva . Diva is a bichon frise who fetches the phone, picks up objects and raises the alarm if her owner has fallen. The Support Dogs' bucket collection also raised a total of £178 during the visit.
Danny Anderson, the fundraising manager for Support Dogs has said “We’re very grateful for Shorts’ kind support. As a small charity we rely entirely on the generosity of business and individuals to fund our training programmes, which can transform the lives of so many people with severe medical conditions.” Support Dogs receives no government funding and relies on donations and fundraising to continue their amazing work.
We would like to thank both Marley and Kym for coming to our Chesterfield branch and we look forward to their upcoming visit to the Sheffield office.
