Malcolm Pope

Malcolm Pope
Malcolm heads the Sheffield office and our management accounting offering. Our office has more than quadrupled in size since opening in 2002, and currently employs in excess of 20 staff with 2 in-house partners. Malcolm joined Shorts in 2000, when he was also appointed president of the Young Chartered Accountants Group (YCAG) in Sheffield. He was appointed partner in 2008, and has been shortlisted for young business personality of the year in two consecutive years. Malcolm is one of only a handful of professionals promoted to partner before the age of 30. Over recent years, Malcolm has invested significant time in the development of MonitorPRO, and was responsible for the introduction of Xero ‘cloud’ accounting into the firm, demonstrating his clear understanding of the management accounting needs of his clients. He has also recently become a trustee of Ashgate Hospice.
