The awards are Chesterfield’s highest profile awards and are designed to recognise outstanding achievements in all areas of business.  Now in its 7th year, this year’s ceremony was held at Chesterfield Football club’s Proact Stadium and attracted entries from large and small businesses across all sectors. Around 200 guests from the world of trade and industry gathered in celebration of the Derbyshire Times annual awards.   Presenting awards across 18 categories, the evening proved to be a great success and it was fantastic to see so many businesses from the Derbyshire area come together to recognise and celebrate the cream of entrepreneurial talent within the region. Shorts were proud to sponsor the excellence in manufacturing award which was presented to the company that demonstrated a modern, efficient and innovative approach to manufacturing. It includes a commitment to the excellence and development of its products, a track record for training and passing on skills to future generations and the desire to promote the region as a center for manufacturing excellence. Sam Ogrizovic hosted the evening, and senior partner Paul Beeson presented the Excellence in Manufacturing award to Andy Dukelow, Managing Director of Franke Sissons on behalf of Shorts.
