Shorts are delighted to have once again been shortlisted in three award categories at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2019 - Mid-Tier firm of the year, Corporate Finance Team of the year and Advisory Team of the year. 

The award categories were open to everyone involved in accountancy within Yorkshire, and the awards aim to celebrate the successes of those organisations, teams and individuals who have excelled within the region.

The following criteria needed to be reached, in order to qualify for shortlisting;

Mid-Tier Firm of the Year

The winning firm will have satisfied the judges that they;

  • demonstrate appreciation and recognition by clients
  • show client initiatives that set the firm apart
  • highlight their contribution to the business community
  • receive recognition from other firms 

 

Corporate Finance Team of the Year

The winning firm will have demonstrated to the judges that they;

  • can provide clear evidence of the team's success
  • evidence their technical ability
  • demonstrate the application of innovative ideas
  • demonstrate quality service for clients
  • provide strong testimonials to detail the corporate finance deals accepted

 

Advisory Team of the Year 

This award recognises the work of our Private Client team and the exceptional service we provide for our clients.   The winning firm will have demonstrated to the judges that they;

  • can provide clear evidence of the team's success
  • evidence their technical ability
  • demonstrate the application of innovative ideas
  • demonstrate quality advice for the benefit of clients
  • provide strong testimonials

Managing partner Andy Irvine comments "2018 was an extremely successful year for Shorts and it is great to begin 2019 with the news that we are Finalists in three categories of the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2019.   This is another fantastic achievement for Shorts and to continue receiving recognition for our work is testament to the quality and strength of the team we have built and the quality of the service that we continue to provide to local businesses."

Andy Irvine

Andy looks after many of our larger corporate clients for whom he closely monitors their accounting and taxation requirements.
