Shorts delighted with seven nominations at Dealmakers

Shorts are delighted to have seven nominations at the Sheffield City Region Insider Dealmakers Awards 2018.

The unveiled shortlists see the region's top accountants, banking professional and law firms competing for a total of nine titles. The shortlists were created by an independent judging panel who assessed nominations from the region's deal making community.

Shorts are once again proud to be shortlisted for the highly contended title of Corporate Finance Advisory Firm of the Year, while Corporate Finance Executive Ellie Wilcockson and Tax Director David Robinson have both received nominations for the title of Emerging Dealmaker of the Year; their nominations recognising the hard work this past year in driving a number of significant deals to completion.

Shorts advised on two nominations within the category, "Deal of the Year up to 2.5 million." having advised on the sale of Pentag Gears Limited to BG Engineering Ltd and the sale of Nielson Hydraulics to VHS Hydraulic Components.

We also advised on the sale of Delivered on Time Limited to DHL, being shortlisted in the category for National / International Deal of the Year.

In addition Shorts provided financial due diligence services on the management buy in of NiTEC UK and Spire Laboratories by Cooper Brown Enterprises, which has been nominated for Mid-Market Deal of the Year.

The winners of the nine categories will be announced at a black-tie dinner to be held on 7 June at the Mercure St Paul’s Hotel in Sheffield. We are all looking forward to the evening and wish all those nominated the very best of luck.
