Shorts are delighted to congratulate United Cast Bar on their success last night, winning the “Excellence in Manufacturing” category at the Derbyshire Times Business awards.
The awards are Chesterfield’s highest profile awards and are designed to recognise outstanding achievements in all areas of business. Now in its 6th year, this year’s ceremony was held at the Proact Stadium and attracted entries from large and small businesses across all sectors.
Shorts were proud sponsors of the Excellence in Manufacturing award, which sits perfectly alongside our involvement in the Manufacturing and Trade Group. (The annual manufacturing seminar last week was the most successful to date.)
Look North newsreader, Claire Frisby hosted the glittering event, and Andrew Grant presented the award on behalf of Shorts to United Cast Bar’s Managing Director James Brand. Three companies were shortlisted for the award; Franke Sissons, United Cast Bar and Pronto Industrial Paints.
Andrew commented “I am absolutely delighted that James and the team at United Cast Bar won the Excellence in manufacturing award this year, and also picked up the overall business of the year award. The strength of the shortlist is testament to the quality and strength of the manufacturing sector in the Chesterfield region and we wish all the companies continued success into the future”
We are now looking forward to December 4th and the Sheffield business awards evening.
